Customer Stolen Vehicle Recovery Assistance
Stolen vehicle recovery assistance is available for most MY22 and newer gasoline vehicles, except for the Taos which is available on MY23 vehicle onwards. Stolen vehicle recovery assistance is currently not available for Electric Vehicles.
To initiate the Customer Stolen Vehicle Recovery process, complete the following steps:
1. File an official Police Report with your local authority, which must contain:
- Date of Incident
- Police Department Name where Incident is reported
- Police Department Report / Case Number
- Police Department Main Phone Number
- Police Officer Contact’s Name and Badge Number
- Any additional details as set out in the Police Report
2. Obtain a copy of the filed Police Report.
3. Complete an Indemnity Agreement
- Print out the Indemnity Agreement.
- Fill out all required fields along with the customer’s (vehicle owner’s) signature.
4.Email a copy of the Police Report and the Indemnity Agreement to: CarNet_Support@us.bosch-so.com, with a copy to: app-info@vw.ca.
5. Contact Bosch Service Solutions (“BSS”) at the Volkswagen Response Centre: 1-833-435-1011 and ensure receipt of required documents by BSS, so that the recovery assistance process can be initiated.
- Should an issue arise which prohibits recovery of the vehicle, BSS will contact you directly to attempt resolution.
- Once the recovery assistance process begins, work with your local authority ONLY to obtain the status of the recovery of the missing vehicle.
- Should you need to cancel the request after submission, complete the following steps:
- Print out the Cancellation Form.
- Fill out all required fields along with the customer’s (vehicle owner’s) signature.
- Email the completed form to: CarNet_Support@us.bosch-so.com, with a copy to: app-info@vw.ca.
- Contact Bosch Service Solutions via the Volkswagen Response Centre: 1-833-435-1011 to ensure receipt of the cancellation request, so that the recovery assistance process may be halted.
Additional Details
- BSS recovery assistance services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- When/if the vehicle is located, BSS provides location updates to local law enforcement as part of the recovery process. If the vehicle is not immediately found, a long-term tracking process is initiated and continues for up to 30 calendar days.
